Curriculum Vitae

Venezuelan musician, born in the city of Valencia, Carabobo state. He studied at the Sebastián Echeverría Lozano School of Music and at the Valencia Recorder School of the Johann Sebastian Bach Academy in the state of Carabobo. He was a founding member of the Student Vicente Emilio Sojo (1996), founding choralist of the Luis Laguna Choir from Ateneo de Guacara (1997) and from Choir of the Mayor's Office of Guacara (1997). He is a graduate of the Ramón Zapata Theater School from the city of Valencia and is Bachelor of Education with a mention in Language and Literature graduated from the University of Carabobo, Valencia, Venezuela (2005).


He was part of the ranks of the Orfeón la Universidad de Carabobo as a tenor, leader of the group and staff quatrist, where he stood out in various symphonic-choral productions and in the gala of elevation to Cultural Heritage of the UC, among many other activities. (2001-2005).


He has directed several children's choirs and student choirs from different schools in the region, highlighting the direction of the Children's Student Choir of the Carabobo State Educational Zone Luis Ernesto Quintero (2000-2003).


He was the creator of Recorder Ensemble Opus Tacarigua (2002), group dedicated to the interpretation of world popular music. He directed Dark Voices Efrén Sevilla (2006) where it obtained excellent reviews for its innovative arrangements.


Found and direct To Ensemble Tone (2007), male voice chamber choir dedicated to the rescue and expansion of the popular repertoire of that format. With this group, in 2008, they represented Venezuela within the framework of the 20th anniversary of the Cantapueblo Choral Festival , obtaining the Honorable Mention awarded by the Legislature of the City of Mendoza, Argentina. Also, they were decorated with the Calabozo City Button in the Canto Mio Choral Festival , in the Guárico state in 2010.


He was part of the National System of Orchestras and Choirs (2006-2018), institution where he developed his greatest musical career as a teacher and director. The participation of the Symphonic Choir of the Libertador Youth Orchestra as guest conductor at the I Festival of Sacred Music, proposed by the Carabobo State Government (2007).


During his journey through the Mariara Nucleus (2010-2015) he taught choir, musical language, recorder and vocal technique for choirs. His greatest contribution was the founding of Young Singers of Mariara , a mixed youth choir with whom he made more than 100 presentations under his direction, both regional, national and international. As a director and choir he stood out in various choral organizations such as Fevecoro, Viva el canto choral, ACEL Festival, among others. Of the most representative activities, participation in the II Festival of Puericantors of Venezuela (April 2012) where he conducted as a special guest the great Puericantores choir in a Holy Week celebration in the Cathedral of Maracaibo. Also participation in the III Ameride International Choir Festival and Competition 2013 , in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, where they obtained second place in the folk music category.


During his career in training as a choral director He has had the opportunity to work with outstanding teachers such as Lourdes Sánchez, César Carrillo, Juan Carlos Bersague, Raúl Delgado Estévez, Ana María Raga, Argenis Rivera, Josep Vila and TJ Harper. In the field of harmony, arrangements and choral composition He has done workshops with teachers Franklin Garcés, Gilberto Rebolledo, Beatriz Corona and César Alejandro Carrillo. In it singing area He has seen masterclasses with lyrical singers Blanca Valladares, Alejandro Von Büren, Claudio Muskus, Nohemy Lugo, Isabel Palacios, Isaac Esteves and Margot Parés Reyna. He was a singing student of Maestro Williams Alvarado in the Lyric Singing Chair at the Music Conservatory of The system Carabobo.


Throughout his artistic life he has complemented his training in various areas such as choral composition diploma from the University of Upel with teachers Dante Andreo (Argentina), César Alejandro Carrillo (Venezuela) and Luis Tellez (Mexico); diploma in Basic English at the Universidad de Carabobo Foundation, Workshop for Theater advice from the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, Maryland (USA) and Course in Art Direction for Theater at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá.

Of the recognitions obtained, it is worth highlighting II Magisterial Voice Place (2002) and Best Unreleased Song from the same festival. In the field of choral composition he has obtained several awards that have earned him good reviews from the national, Latin American, European and Asian choral world.

As a composer and choral arranger he has worked on commissions for renowned choirs such as Homines Urbi from Venezuela and José María Rodríguez Conservatory Choir from Ecuador. He also participated as a composer with the obligatory work for the children's and youth category in the Ameride International Choir Festival and Competition 2019 .

He has participated as a guest, speaker and lecturer in numerous activities on virtual platforms such as Novo Tempo Music School (Mexico); Latin America is sung in choir (Mexico); Choral Encounters (Costa Rica); Latin American Virtual Choir (Venezuela), among many others.

Some of his works have been published internationally by the University of La Plata (Argentina); Beroly Group (A Coruña, Spain) and ICOT Editions (Tokyo Japan).

He is a founding member of the Roraima Cultural Association and Philharmonic Choir , located in the city of Lima, as string leader and guest conductor. He currently directs the Coral Genesis of Madrid and is part of the projects of The Coral Family in Griñón as composer and assistant director of the Choir Charm . AWARDS IN CHORAL COMPOSITION
